Investment account dividends: what goes in GPM311 sections F and H?

For Lithuanian tax residents, ordinary dividends received in 2025 while a declared account is within the investment account regime have two roles: dividend income belongs in GPM311 section F, while the net amount credited increases the contribution balance in section H, using code IV.

Dividends follow ordinary income-tax rules even if you reinvest them. The investment account's tax deferral does not apply to them. VMI's FAQ, question 10.

Example: €100 gross, €15 withheld, €85 credited

Suppose a foreign company pays an ordinary dividend in 2025, while your declared account is within the investment account regime. The statement shows €100 gross, €15 documented foreign income tax withheld and €85 actually credited. There are no fees or currency conversions. Assume the dividend comes from a country with an applicable Lithuanian tax treaty and the €15 is within that treaty's limit.

Where the example amounts belong
SectionWhat to reportAmount
FGross dividend income, code 26€100
FForeign income tax paid€15
HNet dividend contribution, code IV€85

The entries serve different purposes. F records income and tax; H increases the contribution balance by the net receipt. See the F instructions, sections 88.1 and 91, and the H instructions, section 53.3.

The €15 withholding is illustrative, not a universal rate or proof that the full amount can be credited against Lithuanian tax. This example does not calculate your Lithuanian tax due.

If dividends already appear in section F

VMI's FAQ, question 50, describes dividends already entered in F from third-party data, with income tax withheld. To assign their net amount to the investment account:

  1. Edit the dividend row using the pencil button.
  2. Select Priskirti investicinei sąskaitai (assign to an investment account).
  3. For Ar priskiriama visa suma? (is the whole amount assigned?), choose Ne (no).
  4. In Pajamų suma (income amount), enter the amount after income tax: €85 in this example.

The dividend data remains in F. After assigning from F, check the IV entry created in H; do not add the same contribution separately.

If foreign dividends are missing from F, enter gross income, income-source country and the foreign tax allowed by the rules using your documents. Then check the corresponding net IV entry in H. Avoid adding a second F row or IV contribution for the same dividend.

Check the payment and foreign-tax evidence

Compare gross income, income tax withheld, net cash, receipt date and income-source country. Broker fees are not withholding tax. In F, distinguish the income-source country from the broker's country; the instructions also require separate rows for different countries, withholding status or withholding rates. F instructions, sections 90 and 91.5–91.6.

For treaty-country dividends, check the treaty limit before entering foreign tax. Under section 91.6, tax paid in a territory on Lithuania's Tikslinių teritorijų sąrašas list is neither deductible nor entered. Other credit conditions also apply.

When claiming credit for tax paid in a treaty country, provide documents with the return showing foreign income and tax paid. See VMI's declaration guidance, KM0879, and foreign-tax credit conditions, KM0872.

Which broker reports support the amounts?

For IBKR, GPMas uses dated dividend and withholding cash events from the Activity Statement. The Dividend Report verifies country and classification and checks grouped totals; its rows do not need to match every cash payment individually. Use the IBKR report download guide.

For Trading 212 Invest, the History CSV supplies dividend cash events. Where needed, the Annual Statement supports country, gross income and withholding checks; missing facts require documented review. See the Trading 212 report guide.

Before submitting the return

Check F against gross income and supported foreign tax, and H against the net dividends actually credited during the account's regime period, with the correct dates. Resolve amount or country discrepancies and check for duplicate entries.

GPMas currently processes IBKR and Trading 212 Invest reports for tax year 2025, preparing filing figures and warnings. Review the results and complete and submit GPM311 yourself in VMI EDS. The calculation methodology explains the calculations and their limits.
